When to fish in ACUNDA with ATLANTIC EVASION?
November/Dec/Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr/May
ACUNDA opens its doors at the end of the rainy season, at the end of OCTOBER. While it can still be hot until mid-November, it is also a very good period to fish “spots” left untouched after several months and there is a significant increase in surface activity at the beginning and end of the season with warmer waters.
Yet, ALL the season running from OCTOBER to MAY remain excellent.
Our tips:
- NOVEMBER is somewhat the reopening of the fishing season, the spots have been left untouched for an extended period.
- DECEMBER and JANUARY are unpopular months and probably the best, the water is still very hot.
* give preference to the FULL MOON or black moon if you want to fish for big tarpon.
* choose smaller tidal coefficients if you want to fish for cubera snapper (djabbars) and other red snapper “at the bottom”
- the beginning and end of the season for surface fishing Nov/Dec/Jan and Apr/May (even if you’ll be doing it all year long of course)
- FEBRUARY and MARCH for the gatherings of big cobia and multi-fishing. All species are present in the archipelago.
- NOVEMBER/DECEMBER/JANUARY and MAY for blue marlin and all season for offshore amberjacks
- MAY with the return of warm waters and its share of surprises, our mini “sardine-run”.
